Poker Run is back!
Saturday August 2nd, 11:00am
A poker run is a fun event where participants travel to a series of checkpoints (or “waypoints”) to collect playing cards. The goal isn’t speed, but rather to assemble the best poker hand by the end of the route.
Here’s how it works:
Entry & Start: Participants pay a $20 entry fee (per boat) and receive their first card and a list of checkpoints. (cash only)
Safety Briefing: A safety briefing will be held prior to the event start. We strongly encourage all participates to wear a life jacket during the run.
Waypoints: At each checkpoint, you collect a sealed playing card from a Marshall boat
Final Stop: The last card is handed out at the final location (Regatta Beach).
Winning Hand: Once all cards are collected, participants open their hands. The best standard 5-card poker hand wins the prize pot. (Note to win you must have all of your safety gear on your boat - we will check!)
Notes:
Tiller style boats with small horsepower engines - the lower the horse power the better
We encourage teams to have a lot of fun so arm yourselves with water guns and buckets
Dress up your team (people and boat) to be eligible for a prize at the end
