Held over three weeks—the last two weeks of July and the first week of August—these lessons provide young swimmers with the opportunity to build confidence, develop essential water safety skills, and improve their swimming abilities in a fun and supportive environment.

2026 Go Home Lake Regatta
The Go Home Lake Cottage Owners Association Annual GHL Regatta is one of the most anticipated weekends of the summer, bringing together families, friends, and neighbours for a day of community fun on the lake. From classic races and friendly competitions to kids activities and shoreline cheering squads, the Regatta celebrates the spirit, tradition, and connection that make Go Home Lake so special. Whether you’re competing, volunteering, or simply soaking up the atmosphere, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
2026 Poker Run
The Go Home Lake Cottage Owners Association Poker Run is a fun-filled lake adventure that combines friendly competition, teamwork, and classic cottage-country chaos. Participants travel by boat to a series of checkpoints around Go Home Lake, collecting playing cards along the way in hopes of building the best poker hand by the final stop at Regatta Beach. This event is all about creativity and community spirit — decorate your boat, dress up your crew, bring your water guns, and get ready for a memorable day on the water. With prizes, laughs, and lake-wide bragging rights on the line, the Poker Run is a Regatta weekend favourite for all ages.
2026 Kids Fishing Derby
The Go Home Lake Cottage Owners Association Kids Fishing Derby is a brand-new addition to the summer lineup, putting a fresh spin on the beloved Nature’s Day tradition. This year, young anglers will head out onto the lake for a fun-filled day of fishing, learning, and outdoor adventure. Designed to encourage kids to connect with nature, explore the beauty of Go Home Lake, and create lasting summer memories, the Fishing Derby promises friendly competition, plenty of laughs, and a celebration of life on the water.
Paddles & Pages
Kick off the summer with the first Paddle & Pages visit to Go Home Lake! The Georgian Bay Public Library and Georgian Bay Fire & Emergency Services are paddling into Regatta Beach to bring library services, municipal resources, and family fun directly to the lake.

The Go Home Lake Cottage Owners Association Canada Day Boat Parade is a beloved annual tradition that brings the Go Home Lake community together in celebration of Canada Day. Whether you participate in the parade or cheer from the shoreline, it’s a fun and memorable way to celebrate summer on the lake.
2026 Large Object Pick Up Day
The Go Home Lake Cottage Owners Association Large Item Pick-Up Day is an annual community clean-up initiative designed to help cottage owners responsibly dispose of bulky and unwanted items. It’s an opportunity to clear out garages, sheds, and docks while helping keep Go Home Lake clean, safe, and beautiful for everyone. More details, accepted items, and drop-off information will be shared closer to the event date.
2026 Annual General Meeting
The Go Home Lake Cottage Owners Association Annual General Meeting (AGM) is an opportunity for members of the Go Home Lake community to come together, reflect on the past year, and look ahead to the future of the lake. The meeting includes updates from the Board of Directors, key committee reports, financial overviews, community initiatives, and open discussion on matters impacting Go Home Lake. It’s a chance for members to stay informed, share feedback, connect with neighbours, and help shape the ongoing stewardship and success of the community.

Kids Nature and Environment Day
This year, Kids Nature & Environment Day will be held Saturday July 20th (rain date Sunday July 21) at Regatta Beach. More details to come – please watch the GHL Facebook page in early July for announcements. Preregistration in the event will be necessary so that we know how many kids will be attending and can plan accordingly.
Canada Day Boat Parade
Celebrate Canada Day by joining the boar parade from 2pm to 3:30pm on July 1st.
